I couldn't think of anything to draw and was doing a lot of ships at work lately so borrowed this scene from Master and Commander for a design/study exercise. Next time I’ll do something colourful and non-British, I promise!

Monkeying

I went to Peru recently and meant to do a Peruvian-style pattern but it turned out a bit tiki instead.

Probably the smarter thing would have been to make a model sheet but I just used the better-looking board drawings instead... Now I have to make everything up when I animate.


Some of my favourite frames that you might feel but never see! Actually when I had my film critiqued by Mike Surrey he specifically stopped at this part to tell me that the weight is in the joints and my knees never move. I've fixed it since.
