Cat drawings everywhere

Ever since we brought Momo home in October there have been nothing but cat pictures on my phone and in my sketchbook. I even immortalised the little beastie in enamel pin form.

Casual Business

Instead of printing a pile of business cards for con-goers this year I now have this casual business STAMP! For leaving my mark on bits of paper, foreheads, etc.

Saturday Painting

I have a keen friend who goes painting every Saturday and I've been tagging along in an attempt to absorb her better arting habits. We've explored a different bit of Toronto each weekend, like tourists in our own town!

July 9: Riverdale Farm - Trespassing

July 3: Waterfront Festival

 July 2: Distillery District

June 25: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery - Nips&Porky visit a gravestone

June 18: Allan Gardens

2016 Annie's: Racing Greyhounds

My classmate/coworker Taha Neyestani and I were nominated for the student category for the Annie's (Taha won the top prize, you can see his masterpiece here: https://vimeo.com/141734077). We fretted over what to wear and I had the semi-mad idea to make a skirt for it. It mostly turned out okay.

If n&p were a TV series...

You can be sure I would push for a BACKSTORY EPISODE of course! Nips was abandoned at the police station where he was taken in and brought up in the police academy while Porkington is from a well-to-do aristocratic family but chose to dedicate his life to public service.

I pictured this hypothetical show taking place on normal backgrounds but switching to the newspaper for travel shots, transitions, opening sequences, and closing credits. There would be a nice big story arc that spans the season like a proper episodic drama and smaller arcs and themes between.

There are also plenty of supporting actors in my TV series musings:

Suffragette bunbuns
Bunbun with Onions
More bunbuns
Cameraman & Subject
Morning Tea & Pasties
